Ilaya Street, Baras, Rizal, Philippines…I felt like I needed to name this site after something that had a lot of influence in me when I was growing up and this is the thing that came to mind. This is the name of the place where I grew up back in Philippines. That’s where I spent more than half of my life, where my values were mostly formed, where most of my memorable photos were taken, where the old house still stands and will be revisited. Almost all of my friends have been to the house in Ilaya Street. Most of them have slept at the house in Ilaya Street (well, not the friends I met here in LA of course). Secrets were shared, kept and some were broken. Ilaya Street has become a symbol of everything that I am right now.
